

Opera Gallery Monaco will inaugurate an exceptional exhibition of work by Picasso, eagerly awaited by collectors worldwide. Altogether 33 works will be on sale, including 16 oil paintings and 17 drawings & watercolours, executed by the master between 1905 and 1969. This exhibition will be the most important collection of Picasso masterpieces brought together by a French gallery for more than 20 years.
Pablo Picasso (25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) is a major key player in modern art through cubism. Pablo Ruiz y Picasso known as Picasso is one of the most famous modern art painters. He was a Spanish painter and sculptor who lived most of his adulthood in France. He is best known for being the co-founder of Cubism, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and worked in. Among his most famous works are the proto-Cubism Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907) and Guernica (1937), a representation of the German bombing of Guernica during the Spanish civil war. The key model of the cubism movement is to be found in his modern technique. Picasso demonstrated a real artistic talent in his early years, painting in a realistic manner during his childhood and adolescence. During the first decade of the 20th century, his style (cubism) changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. His revolutionary artistic accomplishments brought him universal renowned and immense fortune throughout his life, making him one of the best-known figures in 20th century of modern art.
